Week 45 in review: Dimensity 9200 is here, Infinix Zero 5G 2023 official

Another week in the books, let’s take a look at the top stories from the past seven days. The Xiaomi 13 goes flat. The new design has been revealed in renders and we also have dimensions – 152.8 x 71.5 x 8.3mm. The thickness of the camera bump is 10.3 mm. The phone is also reported to be running on the latest generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

We also saw a render of the Xiaomi 13 Pro and it has Xiaomi’s current design language with slim, contoured bezels and curved glass panels on either side. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is expected to have the same 1-inch IMX989 sensor as the 12S Ultra. Series 13 could launch as early as December.

Leica Leitz Phone 2 has been unveiled in Japan. The new device shares its flagship hardware with the Sharp Aquos R7 but offers a more rugged design with textured metal sides, Leitz branding, and a metal housing for the rear camera. The back has the same 47MP main camera with a 1-inch sensor. The jointly developed Sharp and Leica sensor provides a seven-element Leica Summicron lens with an aperture of F / 1.9 and a focal length of 19 mm.

Google has teased Black Friday deals for the Pixel 7, 7 Pro, and 6a phones. Here’s the rundown. The Pixel 7 will be $100 off at $499, and the Pixel 7 Pro will be $150 off at $749. The cheapest phone you can get from Google on Black Friday is the Pixel 6a, which will drop to $299 from its usual $449 price.

Infinix Zero 5G 2023 goes official with Dimensity 1080 chipset, 6.78-inch IPS LCD with 120Hz refresh rate, and 50MP main camera. Still no comment about pricing and availability.

MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9200. The chip is built on TSMC’s 4nm N4P node and has 1 Cortex-X3 core running at 3.0GHz, 3 Cortex-A715 cores clocked at up to 2.85GHz, and 4 Cortex-A510 cores running at 1.8GHz for efficiency. The chip supports 5G Sub-6 GHz, mmWave, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, as well as USB 4.0. The first Dimensity 9200 powered phones are expected to be released by the end of 2022 which is less than two months at this point.

Realme 10 is the other announcement of this week with Helio G99 chipset, 6.4 inch AMOLED with 90Hz refresh rate, 50MP JN1 main camera which is somewhat lower than Realme 9, and 5000mAh battery. Realme 10 will be available soon starting at $230 for the 4/64GB model.
