The breathtaking interior of the new BMW 7 Series changes the game for luxury cars

What BMW done with the interior of the new 7 Series is simply stunning. If you value comfort and the finer things in life, then the interior of this vehicle is for you. The design of the new 2023 model has one thing in mind, pure luxury.

A BMW spokesman summed it up pretty well: “Customers in this segment don’t want to compromise.” If you thought the interior of the Tesla Cybertruck SUV or Mercedes-Benz EQS was breathtaking, wait until you take a look inside the all-new BMW 7 Series, their lavish new flagship.

The BMW 7 Series offers you your cinema

Most items like this start with the cockpit and guide you inside the car from there. Well, in this case, we won’t be. Because the real show, inside the new 7 Series 2023, is in the rear. If you think driving one of these luxury cruisers is fun, well, we’ve got some news for you, you’re wrong. The rear of the car is where all the action takes place.

Rear passengers are the lucky ones, because not only can they enjoy the incredible comfort provided by the best rear seats ever lined up in a car (more on that later), but they also have their own private theater in the car.

The best feature of the new 7 Series is the 31 ”cinema screen. This huge panoramic display covers almost the entire width of the interior and offers clarity worthy of royalty; outstanding 8K resolution. It’s powered by the same software used in Amazon’s Fire tablets, and when it drops from the ceiling, it transforms the rear of the car into a luxury cinema.

It’s when you turn down the theater screen that the real magic happens. When the screen goes down, the cabin lights dim, just like the curtain goes up in a real movie theater. The sun blinds covering the side windows, rear window and sunroof close automatically. And the occupied seats recline, preparing you for a vehicular cinematic experience like no other.

Ambient lighting is superb. You can change the color and intensity, according to your mood. Other great technologies aboard the new 7 Series include the 5G antenna which allows quick and easy internet access. You can access any of your favorite streaming services. But the amazing rear screen also has an Amazon Fire Stick built in, so you can log into your Prime account and keep up to date on the latest shows and movies.

BMW calls it “theater mode,” and all that’s really missing is a hot dog and popcorn stand. The huge screen supports multiple aspect ratios up to 32: 9 and the really cool thing is that the image actually fills the entire screen as well.

You can move the screen back and forth to optimize your viewing experience. You don’t even need to reach out to push the touchscreen, because BMW has provided digital controllers the size of a smartphone (5.5 “) in each rear door to handle it. These handy little devices, equipped with tilted screens, not only they control the cinema screen, but also operate the rear climate zones, umbrellas, seats, ambient lighting and the canopy.

The audio experience of the new BMW 7 Series is incredible

If music is your thing, you may want to opt for the optional Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround surround sound system. With this superb kit, you can listen to your favorite songs through 36 speakers, strategically placed throughout the cabin. BMW has partnered with Hollywood composer Hanz Zimmer to help develop its high-end audio system that pushes out 1,965 watts and the sound quality is simply sublime.

The system has four sound modes and two of the surround sound speakers are located in the headrests of each car seat. It uses sensors in the seats to optimize sound quality for each occupant. Imagine sitting in the back with your eyes closed, listening to Andrea Bocelli fill the cabin. There is a paradise.

The BMW 7 Series allows you to enjoy the ride and relax

After a long day at the office, your driver (okay, maybe your partner then) arrives and you jump into the back of the 7 Series. You just want to relax in the optional Executive Lounge seats. These seats allow you to recline and provide a comfortable legrest behind the front passenger seat if you fancy a quick nap.

If your mobile is losing charge, you can recharge it in the quilted armrest. Seat back angle, top back angle, forward / backward position and surface angle can be adjusted to virtually any position under the panoramic roof.

The multifunction seats from BMW have heating, cooling, ventilation and, above all, a nine-program massage function. So, if your neck is a little stiff or your lower back is getting a little tight, there’s no need to call a masseuse. A feature available on both the front and rear seats.

If it’s winter, your hands and elbows will never feel cold again. With the optional Heat Comfort package you get a heated steering wheel and heated armrests, both in the door trim and in the center console.

And fitted as standard above your head is the stunning panoramic glass roof. BMW says: “It is larger than that of any rival, and now also much longer than that of the outgoing 7 Series particularly in its rear section.” And it’s a lovely sized roof, which brings a lot of light into the cabin.

To enhance the roof even more, you can opt for the Sky Lounge package. With this you get your own light show via LED threads integrated into the glass that show the same diamond-shaped pattern as the seat quilting. Then you get this cool cross hatch design decorated on the ceiling.

All in all, the 7 series embodies luxury and the Cinema option takes your breath away. It’s a great way to lure you into the car. But the question is, with your private cine-complex sitting on your record, could it put an end to cinema?
