Broncos vs Titans odds, picks and predictions

Star retreating back Derek Henry should play a big game against a Broncos defense that is struggling against a run and no longer has the passing pitch of Pro Bowl Bradley Chubb. Read more at Broncos vs Titans betting selections.

Through nine weeks into the 2022 season, it’s safe to say that this season hasn’t gone as expected for the Denver Broncos (3-5). As is currently the case, Russell Wilson & Co are 12th in the AFC and two games behind the final. Needless to say, they will be looking forward to coming out of a strong farewell week in Week 10.

Against them on Sunday, South Asia’s top Tennessee Titans, who were knocked out by the AFC seed after surprisingly losing their Monday night overtime game to the Chiefs with rookie quarterback Malik Willis to replace injured Ryan Tanehill, appeared. With Tannehill fully practiced during the week, he should be back in the Titans ready to finish the back half of the table strong.

Will Russell Wilson keep Denver’s playoff hopes alive, or will Ryan Tanehill’s return to the Titans add to the Broncos’ ongoing woes? Find out in our free NFL picks and predictions for Broncos vs. Titans on November 13.

Broncos’ best odds against the Titans

Broncos vs Titans picks and predictions

It’s very safe to say that when the Broncos front office chose to make a successful deal with Russell Wilson this season, they were expecting to see the team in a better position by this time of the season. After a 3-5 start and the Seahawks 6-3, everyone on the Broncos side faced a healthy dose of ridicule, criticism and anger.

Denver’s 15.1 points per game ranked third in the NFL, and ran that mark against the eighth easiest defenses table according to the DVOA. And to the DVOA point, the Broncos ranked 27th in overall attack, 23rd in pass attack, and 25th in lunge attack. In seven starts, Wilson had only six passing distances and four interceptions while delivering a low career achievement percentage (58.8%) despite a five-year drop in yards per attempt (7.4).

On the other hand, defense was the only reason why this team even achieved three victories. In terms of DVOA, they are second in overall defense and first in pass defense. Their quick defense (25) is definitely a weak point, however, and it would be worse off with Bradley Chubb’s trade time limit out.

That’s music to the ears of Derek Henry, who pulled off a 115-yard touch performance on just 17 gigs. Henry almost single-handedly defeated the Chiefs on Monday night with rookie Malik Willis under center and sidelining Ryan Tanehill.

The other hero of Monday night’s friendly performance was the Titans defense. The unit ranks 10th overall by defensive DVOA but is the best defense to rush in the league by the same metric. That causes trouble for a group of inept racers that include the disgruntled and often ineffective Melvin Gordon, and recent additions Latavius Murray and Chase Edmunds.

If Denver can’t generate much on the ground on Sunday, Wilson won’t show the ability to keep leadership alive in the air. With the line where it is, there is an obvious way to go with this game.

Broncos vs Titans Spread Analysis

Given that many were expecting the Giants to pull back a bit after trading away from AJ Brown and Henry’s aging, the Giants (in hindsight) have run into some positive numbers against the spread.

Which is why, as well as they currently have a 5-3 consecutive record, it should come as no surprise that they tied for the best record against this season’s 6-2 spread.

Conversely, given the high expectations set for the Broncos after their big trade with Wilson, the Broncos have faced (and continue to experience) inflated spread numbers. For these reasons they are 3-5 against the spread – tied for the eighth worst record in this regard.

Broncos vs. Titans Over/Under Analysis

Most of the stores opened with a total of 40.5, and all dropped slightly to 37.5. Despite the big jump on an already low total, the game script supports this move.

The Broncos were extremely ineffective through the air and unlikely to generate much against one of the league’s best anti-running defenses. To make matters worse, KJ Hamler is broadly heading no play. Although he wasn’t productive on the stats sheet, Humler’s superior speed helps create space in the pass game for intermediate throws.

On the flip side, Denver would be wise to stack the box against towering Henry and force Taneyhill, returning from injury, to throw one of the league’s worst wide receiving teams against one of the league’s best minor teams. In essence, we may be seeing a lot of three games on Sunday, and the game could be off for extended periods of time.
