• Sarah Morekins, of 140 Lincoln Street, Springboro, Pennsylvania, was charged with vehicular homicide and a misdemeanor in the first degree, two counts of failure to stop following an accident, one count of second-degree felony and one fourth-degree felony.

Morens is charged with causing the death of another person by negligence while operating a vehicle and failing to stop after an accident resulting in the death of another person on Aug. 9.

• Michael J. Hardin, of 5251 East Maple Avenue, Geneva, has been charged with one count of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony.

Hardin is charged with causing or attempting to cause bodily harm to a family or family member on June 14 after previously being convicted of one count of domestic violence.

• Eugene Clark Cottum, of 527 West 36th Street, Ashtabula, was charged with one count of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony, and one count of obstructing an official business, a fifth-degree felony.

Cotum is charged with causing or attempting to cause bodily harm to a family or family member after having previously been convicted of a domestic violence offense and with preventing, obstructing or delaying the performance of authorized acts under the duties of a public servant on 3 July.

• Joseph Ernest Woodworth has been charged with arson, a fourth-degree felony.

Woodworth is charged with causing or creating a significant risk of harm to the Ashtabula Police Department by fire or explosion on August 5.

• Brian Lee Potts Jr., of 860 Center Street, Apartment 2, Ashtabula, was charged with one count of break-in and entry, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of petty theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Potts is accused of trespassing on an unoccupied structure to commit theft and theft of paraphernalia and US currency between May 25 and May 28, 2018.

• Scott Russell Payne, of 6742 Lake Road West, Ashtabula, has been charged with possession of narcotics and possession of criminal paraphernalia, fifth-degree felonies.

Payne is charged with possession of hydrocodone and sachets, a digital meter and syringes on March 3.

In another case, Payne was charged with possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony.

Pine was charged with possession of 0.28 grams of a mixture of heroin, tramadol and fentanyl on October 28, 2021.

• Margaret Rose Martin, of 10760 Ravenna Road, Apartment 202, Towensburg, was charged with drug possession, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Martin is charged with possession of methamphetamine and causing or attempting to cause bodily harm to a family or a family member.

• Eric Duncan Derricoat, of 616 West 39th Street, Ashtabula, was convicted of one count of cocaine trafficking and one count of possession of cocaine, fourth-degree felonies, one count of possession of criminal paraphernalia, one count of possession of fentanyl-related, four counts of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound and two counts of trafficking in cocaine Fifth-degree felonies.

Turnquist is charged with causing the death of a person by trafficking a fentanyl-related compound, causing the death of a person by intoxicating another person with the drug, supplying the drug to a person resulting in grievous bodily harm, and selling or offering to sell a fentanyl-related compound dated September 25, 2019.

Lenny Charles Kirby, of 550 West Main Street, Madison, was charged with one count of forgery, a fifth-degree felony.

Kirby is accused of writing a fraudulent check in Geneva-on-the-Lake on December 18, 2021.

• Scott G. Schmitlin, of 3700 Station Avenue, Ashtabula, was convicted of one count of theft from a person in a protected class, fifth-degree felony.

Schmitlin is accused of stealing money and a truck from an elderly person in Geneva-on-the-Lake between May 1 and December 17, 2021.

• Matthew Kirk, of 228 Progress Place, No. 7, Ashtabula, is charged with two counts of aggravated drug trafficking, a second-degree felony, and possession of heroin, a fourth-degree felony.

Kirk was charged with selling or offering to sell 23.31 grams of methamphetamine on March 16, 2021, selling or offering to sell 55.21 grams of methamphetamine and possession of 4.3 grams of fentanyl and heroin on March 19.

• Joshua J. Eubanks, of 5948 Ogden Avenue, Ashtabula, has been indicted on three counts of aggravated drug trafficking, two counts of third-degree felony and one fourth-degree felony, one count of aggravated drug possession, and one count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, fifth-degree felony .
